Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the United States is seeking an experienced Regulatory Strategy Engagement Manager within the Firmwide Regulatory Strategy team to lead a team managing credit risk-related engagements with regulators. You will work with senior leaders globally to provide strategic advice and handle regulatory exams from regulators including FRB, OCC, FDIC and others impacting your coverage area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years experience in Risk Management and Compliance at a large financial institution, regulator, consulting firm and/or law firm.
• MBA/JD or advanced degree in business, finance, law or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in liquidity and capital risk frameworks and regulations and how it's translated to risk management and supervisory expectations.
• Deep knowledge of regulators' exam processes and regulatory matters.
• A strong track record of managing relationships at a senior level.
• Excellent communication skills, including active listening and the ability to capture and deliver key takeaways from engagements in writing.
• Ability to perform under pressure and to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for all regulatory engagements that impact the coverage areas for internal stakeholders and regulators.
• Oversee and coordinate recurring supervision meetings between stakeholders and regulators.
• Lead regulatory exams through the exam lifecycle and ongoing monitoring engagements.
• Advise and influence LOB/Function Leads and exam partners in preparation for regulatory engagements.
• Coordinate with REMs and engagement managers to maintain a consistent regulatory engagement message.
• Escalate issues promptly and effectively during engagements.
• Maintain strong relationships between regulators and the Firm; collaborate across lines of business.
• Drive reporting and content for regulatory engagements and management presentations.
• Maintain thorough records of exams, meetings, and MIS reports for regulators.
• Stay updated with regulatory activities managed by REM teams globally.
