Job summary

Seacole-CRC, LLC in Plymouth, MN seeks a Regulatory Specialist to assist the Regulatory Manager in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local agencies for agricultural products. You will help track registrations, review labels, and support cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field, 5+ years in regulatory roles, and experience with EPA/REACH/Lisam ExESS.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Regulatory (EHS) for chemical manufacturing or NPD, with progressive project experience.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing and distribution.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and procedures.
  • Experience coordinating with government agencies and legal consultants.
  • Experience with Lisam ExESS SDS authoring software.
  • Experience in metal finishing, industrial cleaning, or agriculture is a plus.
  • Experience with pesticide manufacturing and EPA regulations and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Regulatory Manager with global regulatory compliance, product safety and stewardship tasks.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation to support product safety and compliance needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate risk and drive compliance.
  • Prepare and release reports, studies, and publications requiring interpretation of laws/regulations.
  • Review packaging, labeling, and product claims; manage document changes as needed.
  • Interpret and clarify local, state, federal, and international laws and regs.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting air, water, and discharge permit applications.
  • Support employee training under supervision of Regulatory Manager.

We are looking for a Regulatory Specialist who can help turn complex compliance requirements into clear, actionable steps. You will work closely with our Regulatory Manager to ensure our operations meet all regulatory standards, help us stay ahead of changes, mitigate risks, and maintain the trust of our customers. The responsibility of the Regulatory Specialist is to assist the Regulatory Manager with ensuring that the company is safely meeting the requirements of Federal, State, and Local agencies, while providing internal support to our Operations, Quality, Lab, and Sales departments.

This position focuses on agricultural products. You will review labels for compliance with State USDA requirements, work with states and global agencies on product registrations and fee payments, and support the sales team by maintaining and tracking fertilizer registration progress.

  • Assist the Regulatory Manager with various tasks, including global regulatory compliance, product safety and stewardship, and liability avoidance for existing and new materials, products, and/or technologies.
  • Assist the Regulatory Manager with developing and maintaining documentation, and managing relevant proprietary information, to support product safety, compliance, and stewardship needs.
  • Under the direction of the Regulatory Manager, consult on compliance projects and other assessments; collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and minimize risk and drive compliance.
  • Assist the Regulatory Manger with the preparation and release of reports, studies, and other publications that require interpretation of laws or regulations.
  • Assist with reviewing packaging, labeling, product claims, and document changes as needed.
  • Interpret and clarify local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting air, water, and/or discharge applications
  • Assist the Regulatory Manger with employee training
Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or Environmental Engineering is required. Advanced degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering preferred.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Regulatory (EHS) role in support of Chemical Manufacturing and New Product Development, or a closely aligned field, with progressive experience managing projects of complexity, is preferred.
  • Previous Chemical Experience within general Chemical Manufacturing and Chemical Distribution.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with improving processes and procedures.
  • Experience preferred in coordination with government agencies and legal consultants.
  • Experience with Lisam ExESS SDS authoring software
  • Experience with Metal Finishing, Industrial Cleaning, and Agriculture is a plus.
  • Experience with pesticide manufacturing and required EPA regulations and reporting, is a plus.
Skills/Abilities
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills, and the ability to apply policies and general regulations to specific products or projects, with minimal direction.
  • Exceptional ability to respond to inquiries, analyze data, and make recommendations.
  • Excellent, well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Excellent documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities to meet required due dates, are vital.
