Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Location: New York, NY
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Our client is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join a high-visibility regulatory team. This role focuses on regulatory reporting related to derivatives activity and offers strong exposure to cross-functional teams, regulatory requirements, and technology-driven processes. The ideal candidate has hands‑on regulatory reporting experience and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports related to derivatives activity, including CFTC, SEC, and CAT reporting
- Ensure all regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered on time in accordance with applicable rules
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve reporting breaks, exceptions, and data discrepancies
- Partner closely with Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Front Office teams to support system enhancements and regulatory-driven changes
- Monitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing new or evolving reporting requirements
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory inquiries, and examinations
- Maintain documentation, procedures, and controls related to regulatory reporting processes
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, ideally within derivatives
- Hands‑on experience with CFTC, SEC, and/or CAT reporting
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting controls and data governance
- Experience working with reporting systems or data tools; technology exposure is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
