Job summary

Citi is seeking an Regulatory Reporting analyst to support the preparation, validation, and submission of regulatory reports and tax returns. The role collaborates with Finance, Risk, Treasury, FP&A and Operations to ensure timely, accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

The successful candidate will have experience in financial services regulatory reporting, tax regulation knowledge, and strong analytical and communication skills to handle complex data and escalating issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and submission of reports including regulatory returns and financial statements to regulators and other constituencies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and support regulatory change management processes.
• Assist with tax-related matters and ensure timely settlement of monthly taxes to authorities.
• Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including recording required entries at period end.
• Support development and maintenance of robust internal controls over regulatory reporting and automation initiatives.

Job description

The Regulatory Reporting role is an analyst position within the Controllers Organisation responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and complete preparation, validation, and submission of key regulatory reports and tax returns to supervisory authorities. The individual will support the preparation, analysis and submission of regulatory reports and will have a visibility within the organisation with opportunities to work directly with other Finance and non-Finance including the Businesses, Risk, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, as well as Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and submission of reports including regulatory returns, financial statements to various constituencies (local regulators, etc.) based on requirements such as Central Bank regulations and local statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Jordan regulations and support in Regulatory Change Management process.
• Assist and handle tax related matters and ensure settlement of monthly taxes to local tax authorities.
• Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required entries and financials at the end of each accounting period.
• Facilitate the implementation of procedures and the development of analyses and reports and implementation / Maintain and execute robust internal controls over regulatory reporting.
• Deliver routine and defined outputs.
• Escalate problems or issues related to transactions, processes, reports, or procedures and ensure proper control execution.
• Integrate established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Support on ad-hoc requests, automation projects, system enhancements and other initiatives as and when needed.
