Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-2 years accounting experience required.
• Degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, i.e., journal entries, reconciliation reports.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work assignments to meet the deadlines required.
• Compiles, analyzes, and reviews financial information in the preparation of reports, including schedules and testimony for ratemaking matters.
• Develops, prepares, audits, and reviews reports on a regular monthly, quarterly, and/or annual basis.
• Analyzes, reconciles, and evaluates the accuracy of general ledger accounting details and ensures the amounts are proper and classified correctly.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with AES policies, internal controls, and corporate policies.
