Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers seeks a Supervisory role to lead a Regulatory Section within an assigned area, ensuring timely, technically sound, and legally defensible decisions. You will plan, assign, and review work while coordinating with applicants and stakeholders to accomplish program priorities.

The position involves supervisory responsibilities, performance management, and a 10% travel requirement; a regulatory/engineering background is required and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience including guiding permit applicants, evaluation, or guidance.
• Resource-management feedback for budget or manpower forecasting.
• Collaboration with teams, applicants, Tribes, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Review of general permit preconstruction notifications, mitigation proposals, and/or permit compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a Regulatory Section administering the USACE Regulatory Program.
• Plan, prioritize, assign, and review work to ensure timely, technically sound decisions.
• Provide technical and programmatic leadership on complex, controversial regulatory matters.
• Coordinate with leadership, applicants, Tribes, agencies, and other Regulatory sections to resolve issues.
