Job summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to oversee construction projects, ensure compliance with plans and specs, and administer complex contracts.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, conduct QA, and review schedules and payments to contractors. Responsibilities include ensuring safety plans are followed, coordinating with technicians and clerical staff, and managing all assigned projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience: thorough knowledge of professional engineering theories, practices, and methodology and experience administering Design Bid Build and related contracts.
• Experience in construction contracts with compliance to plans and specifications and adherence to standards.
• Ability to supervise and direct multidisciplinary teams on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prework conferences and QA to ensure construction activities are performed per regulations.
• Review and approve contractor schedules, pay estimates, and material procurement.
• Interpret plans/specifications and negotiate contract modifications within authority.
