Job summary

The Florida Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana Use, seeks a Government Analyst II to coordinate rulemaking activities, draft rules, and manage the rulemaking process. The role collaborates with legal and program staff to research, propose, and track regulatory changes while maintaining regulatory documentation and public records.

Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Florida driver’s license is also expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Two years of professional experience in administrative rulemaking, policies and procedures, or legislative activities.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and government rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of the rulemaking process and researching statutes and administrative codes.
• Valid Florida State driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate rulemaking activities including drafting rules and managing the rulemaking process.
• Maintain regulatory documentation and records.
