Job summary

Addison Group is representing a well-established, privately held oil and gas company in Wichita, Kansas, seeking an experienced Regulatory Manager to lead environmental and regulatory compliance for upstream operations.

You will manage permitting, ensure EPA and state compliance, mentor a growing team, and collaborate with engineering, operations, land, and leadership to support drilling and production activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Natural Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of regulatory, environmental compliance, or permitting experience within upstream oil and gas.
  • Previous leadership or people management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of EPA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience with regulatory permitting in North Dakota and/or Wyoming is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing regulatory filings, permits, and agency interactions.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local oil and gas regulations.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and regulatory tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all regulatory compliance activities supporting upstream oil and gas operations.
  • Manage the preparation, review, and submission of environmental and regulatory permits.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and applicable state and local requirements.
  • Maintain accurate regulatory records, filings, and compliance documentation.
  • Review and sign regulatory submissions and environmental documentation as required.
  • Monitor changing regulations and implement processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, land, and executive leadership to support drilling and production activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and company compliance initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regulatory personnel, including oversight of a future Regulatory Technician.
  • Identify opportunities to improve permitting processes, compliance tracking, and reporting.

Our client is a well-established, privately held oil and gas company with a long history of successful exploration and production operations throughout the Mid-Continent region. They are seeking an experienced Regulatory Manager to lead environmental and regulatory compliance efforts while partnering closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to support continued growth.

We are seeking a Regulatory Manager to oversee all environmental and regulatory compliance activities for upstream oil and gas operations. This individual will be responsible for managing permitting, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining accurate regulatory documentation, and serving as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies. This is a leadership position with the opportunity to build and manage a growing regulatory team.
