Qualifications

  • 10 years of oil/gas regulatory permitting experience, with field work, preferably in Rocky Mountain area.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, tribal and federal oil/gas laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy, meet deadlines, and show attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Position level commensurate with experience.

Job Description

Position will require coordination, preparation and submittal of oil and gas regulatory applications and notices of work, including the ability to permit special projects with minimal direction/supervision; initiate and coordinate project development requirements with Division personnel and outside contractors. Work with local, State, Federal and Tribal regulatory agencies to obtain appropriate approvals and provide necessary information to the same agencies in order to comply with the regulatory requirements of the associated project. Field location verification, coordination with permitting staff, construction, and Surface Land group to ensure well placement is accurate and within compliance. Support the review and applications for wildlife surveys and exceptions.

Job Requirements
  • Preferred 10 years’ experience in oil/gas regulatory permitting and associated field work, with the majority of experience with oil and gas operations within the Rocky Mountain area.
  • An Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of current State, Federal, Tribal and local laws, rules and regulations related to oil and gas operations.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and consistently meet deadlines is essential.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary.
  • Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
  • Min $90,000.00 / Max $155,000.00
