Job summary

loanDepot in Irvine, CA is seeking a seasoned compliance professional to oversee regulatory exams, GSE reviews, and regulatory reporting. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to inquiries from regulators and investors, prepare and file Mortgage Call Reports, and coordinate data gathering across teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of mortgage compliance experience, plus 3 years in managing examinations and remediation plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Eight (8) years’ compliance experience in mortgage/financial industry.
Three (3) years’ managing examinations and reviews, including remediation plans.
Experience managing GSE, investor and agency reviews for a mortgage lender.
Experience managing Freddie CORE exam.
Experience managing Fannie MORA and STAR exams.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute regulatory exams and GSE, investor and agency reviews, including monitoring, analyzing, and responding to regulators and investors.
Prepare exam requests and inquiries, review data requests, coordinate with team members, gather data, manage follow-ups, and ensure timely submissions.
Track and report progress of regulatory exams.
Prepare and file periodic regulatory reports including the Mortgage Call Report (MCR).
Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and elevate/resolve issues.
Act as primary point of contact for regulators, agencies and investors.
