Job summary

Aurora seeks a dynamic Regulatory Counsel to join the legal team, reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory. You will shape compliance strategies for federal and state autonomous-vehicle regulations, enabling rapid commercialization and geographic scaling.

You will collaborate with Government Relations, Safety, Business Development and Product Strategy to address complex regulatory issues, with a JD and active State Bar, and 3–6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active State Bar membership required.
• 3–6 years of relevant in-house, law firm, or government experience.
• Experience handling regulatory and legislative matters across jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide cross-functional legal and policy advice across the Aurora Driver deployment.
• Advise on ongoing legislative/regulatory processes and design compliance strategies.
• Address novel legal issues in autonomous vehicle technology and shaping regulatory frameworks.
• Own strategic compliance roadmaps with federal/state requirements and incident reporting.
• Collaborate with the broader legal team on targeted projects and inquiries.
