Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 2–3 years accounting or finance experience in a public utility environment.
• Strong Excel skills and aptitude for automation tools.
• Knowledge of GAAP, FERC, FPSC guidelines beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply FPSC and FERC rules for cost recovery clauses.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and variance reports.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure accurate cost recovery accounting.
• Interact with Deloitte and internal auditors on monthly true-ups and reconciliations.
• Maintain SOX compliance and update cost recovery procedures.
