Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Regulatory Correspondence Specialist to manage Qualified Written Requests and disputes directed to regulatory agencies. The role requires reviewing escalated inquiries, researching issues, and delivering formal written responses within deadlines.

You will communicate with regulators and internal leaders to identify root causes and corrective actions. You will liaise between Legal and Clients, mentor junior staff, and provide daily regulatory complaint reporting while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of Mortgage Servicing experience.
• Experience in Regulatory Affairs and/or Quality Assurance in mortgage servicing; complaint handling preferred.
• Experience in late-stage mortgage collections is a plus; minimum productivity and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mailbox and web portals to log complaints within 24 hours and respond by deadlines.
• Handle high-risk complaints including bankruptcies, foreclosures, and regulatory issues.
• Maintain the written complaint database with research and resolution details.
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain resolution and corrective action.
• Communicate with Regulatory Agencies (federal, state, and local).
• Prepare written responses summarizing resolutions for regulators.
