Job summary

The Regulatory Compliance Engineer – Hazardous Substances will assist with developing and executing a product safety and regulatory compliance program focusing on chemical, recycling, and extended producer responsibility (“EPR”) requirements affecting Milwaukee products.

Responsibilities
  • Establish strategies and procedures to identify and communicate applicable requirements effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and escalating gaps in processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with New Product Development teams to ensure compliance integration.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate information, review data, and develop opinions related to compliance.
  • Review and provide feedback on operator's manuals and product markings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience assessing chemical, environmental, and/or EPR regulation compliance, preferably related to power tools, batteries, or appliances.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and business judgment skills.
  • Attention to schedule and detail.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with EPA regulations (e.g., TSCA, RCRA).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Interest in power tools and related equipment.
