The Regulatory Compliance Engineer – Hazardous Substances will assist with the development and execution of a product safety and regulatory compliance program that focuses on the applicable chemical, recycling, and extended producer responsibility (“EPR”) requirements affecting Milwaukee products.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Establish strategies and procedures to identify and communicate applicable requirements effectively and efficiently.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and escalating gaps in processes, systems, and technologies.
Collaborate with New Product Development teams to ensure integration of compliance with applicable requirements. Where requirements are unclear, assist in obtaining an interpretation from the appropriate authority.
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain and packaging, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Evaluate information, review data and develop opinion(s) related to compliance of a concept, design, or product.
Review and provide feedback for operator's manuals and on-product markings.
Other Duties as assigned.
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience assessing chemical, environmental and/or EPR regulation compliance (e.g. EU’s RoHS and REACH Directives, California Prop 65), preferably related to power tools, batteries, or appliances.
Strong verbal, written and organizational skills essential to professional communication.
Strong business judgment with the ability to prioritize and articulate high-impact initiatives.
Show an emphasis on and adherence to schedule and attention to detail.
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
Familiar with product related EPA regulations (e.g. TSCA and RCRA)
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as necessary.
High interest in Power Tools and tools of the trade.
