Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Specialist I to monitor state and local legislation, support licensing efforts, and help ensure the company stays ahead of regulatory changes. This on-site role is located in Temple, TX within a 50-mile radius.

You will prepare filings, generate internal reports, maintain compliance trackers, and draft correspondence with regulatory agencies. A minimum of 2 years in a regulated environment and strong Excel/Word skills are required, with attention to

Qualifications

• Associate degree or some college preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of business experience, ideally in a regulated environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and research state and local legislation, regulations, and ordinances related to regulated products, and assess their business impact.
• Support the preparation and submission of license applications and renewals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Generate and analyze internal reports to support compliance activities and licensing processes.
• Prepare electronic filings, including EFT payments, and maintain required documentation.
• Draft correspondence to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders regarding compliance requirements and product restrictions.
• Assist with required regulatory reporting, including PACT Act filings and DBA/fictitious name applications.
• Maintain and audit compliance trackers to ensure accurate recordkeeping and adherence to internal standards.
• Collaborate with leadership and team members to support daily departmental operations and special projects.
