1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist in Medford, Oregon to review ingredients and packaging for accuracy, manage certificates of analysis, and support product development with regulatory documentation.
The role requires a degree in a food-related field and up to three years in regulatory/compliance roles; familiarity with food labeling and certifications is preferred. Office software and ERP experience are a plus.
The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing Incoming ingredients, components and preprinted packaging for accuracy as well as verifying and managing product certificate of analysis and letters of certification along with the freezer incubation process. They support the departments objectives by maintaining and utilizing product specification sheets for the product development cycle. Reviews co-manufactured items for required labeling, testing and safe delivery method. Reviews reusable products for regulatory compliance and confirms all required testing is conducted and passes Federal and State regulations. Assists with sensory evaluations and kitchen trials as requested. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will update and maintain records in the department databases.
In the absence of the Regulatory Compliance Specialist, all Food Safety and Quality responsibilities will fall upon the Regulatory Compliance Supervisor. The Regulatory Compliance Supervisor may delegate responsibilities.
