Job summary

Wipfli is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Consultant II in the Chicago, IL area. The role may be performed in person, remotely, or in a hybrid setting with about 20% travel to client sites across the U.S.

The candidate will lead regulatory risk assessments, audits, and advisory engagements for banking and financial services clients. Qualified candidates have 3+ years of regulatory compliance experience, a finance-related degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years regulatory compliance experience in banking or financial institutions.
• Experience in creating, executing, and documenting regulatory compliance audits.
• Knowledge of lending.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• About 20% travel to U.S. client locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive consultation on regulatory compliance risk assessment and remediation.
• Assist financial services clients to develop and strengthen their compliance management system.
• Identify regulatory gaps and associated risks and propose solutions.
• Present information concisely to boards, audit or supervisory committees, management, and business lines.
• Conduct routine regulatory compliance testing for federal consumer regulations.
