Jobtailor is seeking a Regulatory Case Manager to lead filings with state regulatory commissions and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, coordinating with operating companies and ensuring accuracy of schedules, witness identification, and testimony.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
  • 6–8 years of experience for Grade 10 or 6+ years for Grade 9 with emphasis on utility accounting, rates, tariff development, and related activities.
  • Electric utility experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight, to support regulatory case activity and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead broad-based efforts to develop, file, and manage major filings with state regulatory commissions in coordination with operating companies.
  • Assume primary responsibility for development of major filings with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
  • Support filing processes, including accuracy and completeness of required schedules, witness identification, and testimony development.
  • Provide input into strategic decisions shaping the Company's regulatory initiatives.
  • Develop company-wide teams and networks to obtain information for regulatory strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of commission trends, policies, regulatory decisions, rules, and information requirements.
  • Develop strategic alternatives and analyses and make recommendations for resolving regulatory issues.
  • Support operating companies' relationships with state commissions through data, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Provide authorized functional supervision over designated subordinates on specific project assignments.
  • Educate others on interrelationships between cost drivers and revenue.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Regulatory Case Manager (Grade 9): Minimum of 6 years of experience with emphasis on utility accounting and applications, rates, tariff development and application, commercial operations, management, and/or other pertinent experience
  • Regulatory Case Manager (Grade 10): Minimum of 8 years of experience with emphasis on utility accounting and applications, rates, tariff development and application, commercial operations, management, and/or other pertinent experience
  • Electric utility experience is preferred
  • Ability to travel, including overnight, to support regulatory case activity and ongoing training
