Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CS, IT or related field.
  • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience in Corporate/Investment Banking or large financial institution.
  • Hands-on experience with AxiomSL (ControllerView).
  • Proven experience supporting FR 2052a and/or FR Y-15 regulatory reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and regulatory reporting frameworks.
  • Experience producing BRDs, FRDs, data mapping documents, and functional specs.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Assess and document current and future-state data landscapes, identifying deficiencies in data quality, granularity, and sourcing.
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders to understand products, processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Translate complex regulatory guidance into clear business and functional requirements.
  • Define data sourcing requirements across transactional, counterparty, collateral, and balance sheet data.
  • Create detailed data mapping specifications from source systems into AxiomSL data models.
  • Collaborate with data architects, developers, and upstream system owners to support implementation efforts.
  • Drive requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.

Regulatory Business Analyst (AxiomSL)

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)

Compensation: $75-$100/hour

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract with Opportunity to Convert to Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Business Analyst with strong expertise in AxiomSL (ControllerView) and regulatory reporting within a banking environment. This role will focus on evaluating current data capabilities against regulatory reporting requirements, identifying gaps, and driving data sourcing and mapping initiatives to support critical reporting obligations.

Profile
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience within Corporate & Investment Banking or a large financial institution.
  • Hands-on experience with AxiomSL (ControllerView).
  • Proven experience supporting or implementing FR 2052a and/or FR Y-15 regulatory reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and regulatory reporting frameworks.
  • Experience producing BRDs, FRDs, data mapping documents, and functional specifications.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills with experience working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Full lifecycle implementation experience for FR 2052a or FR Y-15 at a major banking institution.
  • Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments.
  • Knowledge of data governance, reporting controls, and regulatory compliance practices.
