To research, prepare and submit various regulatory filings as necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and other requirements for Delta Dental of Michigan and its affiliates and/or subsidiaries.
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, legal studies or a related field and three years' legal or compliance experience, preferably in the life & health insurance industry, with a focus on rate and form filings preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Position requires knowledge of legal research tools, such as NILS and Westlaw; knowledge of National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) rules and regulations and System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF), as well as experience dealing with departments of insurance, preferred; excellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask, work under deadlines and change priorities on short notice.
