Job summary

You will work with data from multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance while advising senior management on accounting transactions and policy changes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in accounting/finance or business; accounting major preferred.
• Progress towards CPA preferred.
• Six+ years of related accounting experience; insurance exp. preferred.
• GAAP/STAT knowledge and regulatory requirements.
• Tax principles and reporting impacts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and project management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates research, analysis and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
• Advises senior management on data acquisition, analysis and complex accounting transactions.
• Responsible for development and submission of complex accounting and financial transactions for accurate reporting.
• Ensures accuracy of all reports, forms and data provided to clients and regulators.
• Coordinates actions/policies to address unfavorable financial situations.
• Guides changes to GAAP/STAT requirements impacting financial documents.
• Acts as project lead in development of enhanced systems and processes.
• Assists in preparing pro‑forma data for regulatory compliance.
• Provides guidance on applying financial data to operational problems.
