Job summary

Cust-O-Fab in Beaumont, TX is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC drills and machines on the shop floor. You will read prints, measure parts precisely, and handle slag removal with grinders while following all safety protocols.

Overhead cranes are used to load parts, and occasional forklift operation is required. The role requires a two-year CNC drill background, commitment to safety, and the ability to work with others in a high-noise, physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years CNC drill experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing and fabrication of shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels and/or towers preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC drills and machines.
• Wear proper PPE and follow all safety protocols.
• Read prints for required specifications and dimensions.
• Measure parts using tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers.
• Remove slag using grinders.
• Operate overhead cranes to load machines with parts.
• Cut supports to required lengths with a hot saw.
• May operate forklifts as needed.
• Perform other job duties as assigned, including basic tasks.
