Job summary

Interpath Laboratory, Inc. seeks a Registration Specialist to accurately enter patient data from lab orders into the LIS before testing begins. The role emphasizes precision and adherence to procedures in a healthcare setting.

The position is part-time and onsite in Pendleton; internal applicants may be remote eligible. The starting wage is $18.50 per hour, with night differential pay and performance-based compensation based on volume and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and effectively use Interpath Laboratory's internal registration system (training will be provided).
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computers and laboratory applications.
• Ability to adhere to established procedures and guidelines to maintain a high standard of work.

Responsibilities

• Accurately utilize the online Patient Registration system to enter patient data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Actively participate in Quality Assurance monitoring activities to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the registration process.
• Accurately translate physician orders and diagnoses from requisition forms into the LIS.
• Follow established work checklists and procedures to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA policies and procedures to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Understand and follow Medicare guidelines, including regulations related to Advance Beneficiary Notices (ABN).
• Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.
