Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Registration Specialist II to assist patients with on-site registration and arrival for both scheduled and unscheduled visits. The role requires collecting demographic and insurance data and handling patient financial obligations at the time of service.

The specialist will perform financial clearance functions and greet patients professionally, contributing to a positive patient experience. Some travel between CoxHealth locations and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years registration experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information; handle patient financial obligations at service time.
• Perform financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes.
• Greet and assist patients and staff in a professional, friendly manner.
• Travel between sites may be required; extended hours may be needed based on business needs.

The Registration Specialist II greets and serves patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.
