Job summary

ReDiscover is seeking a Registration Specialist to join the Client Engagement Department. You will greet clients, gather essential information, and guide them to the right programs while maintaining a welcoming, professional environment.

You will perform intake interviews, document patient information in our electronic health record system, verify benefits, and coordinate referrals. This role requires HIPAA awareness, confidentiality, and strong communication with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with intake interviews and documenting client information.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and phone intake interviews to gather client information and complete documentation.
• Verify benefits and obtain prior authorizations to support timely access to care.
• Schedule appointments, answer calls, and route inquiries to appropriate programs.
• Assist clients with questions and collect payments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of PHI and collaborate with team to promote positive workplace culture.

By completing intakes, coordinating appointments, and guiding individuals to the right programs, the team helps ensure a smooth and supportive start to services.What You’ll DoCreate a welcoming, professional, and respectful experience for clients, visitors, and guests while helping maintain a safe and supportive environment.Conduct in-person and phone intake interviews to gather client information, complete required documentation, and ensure accurate records within electronic health record and state systems.Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations to support timely access to care.Connect clients with appropriate programs, services, and community resources based on their needs.Support front office operations by scheduling appointments, answering and routing incoming calls, collecting payments, and assisting clients with questions.Demonstrate culturally responsive, client-centered service through positive verbal and non-verbal communication.Collaborate with team members across the organization to promote a positive workplace culture and strong interdepartmental communication.Perform a variety of administrative and office support tasks, including filing, appointment coordination, phone coverage, client referrals, and other daily operational duties.Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA standards.Complete required trainings, certifications, and onboarding activities to remain current on organizational policies and best practices.Requirements of the PositionHigh School Diploma or GED required.Ability to work a regular and consistent shift of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pmAt least one (1) year of progressive business or administrative training is preferred.At least one (1) year of direct service to individuals with mental health, behavioral health, or substance use disorder diagnoses preferred.At least one (1) year of triaging high-volume calls is highly preferred.Comfort with electronic health records and intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and use of email)Grow With UsWe’re committed to your professional development and will support your growth as a Registration Specialist through training, collaboration, and meaningful work.Ready to join a team that’s passionate about people?
