This position is responsible for ensuring tests or procedures scheduled for Blessing Health System are coordinated with all the required resources available at the designated time. Duties include taking information from physicians, physician offices, and patients to place on resource unit schedules, coordinating resources with other areas when applicable. Registration / Scheduling Specialist perform pre-registration duties prior to the date of service. This position conducts professional patient interviews obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. The position is responsible for obtaining information to appropriately bill payers, verify patient insurance eligibility, confirm benefits eligibility, collect point of service payments, determine medical necessity, and gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations. The Registration / Scheduling Specialist are responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence.
