Family Health Center JBS Pediatrics is seeking a Registration & Scheduling Coordinator to provide prompt, customer-focused service at the front desk, schedule appointments, answer phones, and relay messages to staff.
The role involves collecting payment information, verifying patient eligibility, and ensuring payments are posted accurately while maintaining confidentiality. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. This is a full-time daytime position with varied hours.

The Registration & Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, customer-focused service to patients and their families as well as MCH staff and other individuals within the community. Provide a professional atmosphere for reception, schedule appointments, answer telephone, take messages and relay to the FHC staff. Gather information for various forms of payment sources including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, etc. Obtain financial and family database information used in determining the patients’ ability to pay. Collect payment on patient accounts by tactfully utilizing assertive measures to collect maximum fees due and maintain records for all services rendered. Perform duties necessary to ensure cash is safeguarded and payments are accurately posted.
A. Education:
High School diploma graduate or equivalent.
B. Training and Experience:
Completion of a medical secretarial program or equivalent. Six months’ computer experience. One year clerical or clinical experience working in a physician office or health care facility or three years working in a customer service capacity in a non-healthcare environment. Excellent communication skills required to interact with patients and visitors.
C. Job Knowledge:
Aptitudes to organize, file, and perform clerical work with speed and accuracy. Maintain patient confidentiality. Interpret front office policies and procedures and so apply them in specific situations. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
