Job summary

Advanced Surgery Center of Sarasota is seeking a part-time Registration Representative to greet patients, verify demographics, and process paperwork at the front desk.

The role involves admitting patients, collecting payments, updating systems, and coordinating with physicians and staff in a busy ambulatory surgery setting. Prior hospital clerical experience and a 45 wpm typing speed are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
• Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients and process their paperwork.
• Update patient demographics/information in system.
• Collect monies due and document in billing system.
• Handle funds per office procedure.
• Cross training for other Business Office positions a possibility.
