Job summary

Avem Health Partners in Anadarko, OK seeks a patient access representative to register and pre-register patients for services, collect demographic and payment information, and act as the first contact for inquiries on pricing, scheduling, and accounts.

You will explain financial policies, collect payments, assist with registration and medical records, and coordinate with the Business Office to resolve billing issues while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Explain financial policies to patients.
• Collect deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered charges.
• Answer all incoming calls regarding patient accounts.
• Research account issues; correct and/or initiate correction of errors.
• Coordinate with Business Office and/or Central Business Office (CBO) to resolve billing issues.
• Initiate outgoing calls to receive payment and improve cash collection.
• Assist registration and medical records as necessary.
• Prepare standard registration/admission forms for patients or transfers.
• Provide backup coverage for department staff.

Thursday or Friday eveningsJOB PURPOSE: Registers and pre-registers patients for services as outlined in departmental procedures. Obtains demographic, financial, pre-certification or authorization information. This position is the first point of customer contact for general inquiries like pricing, products, scheduling etc. Registers patients for outpatient procedures. Builds and maintains a business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service to promote customer loyalty.
