Job summary

Kirby Medical Center in Monticello, Illinois is seeking a friendly Registration Clerk to join our admitting team. This part-time position focuses on greeting patients, collecting insurance information, and registering for admissions and outpatient procedures.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, excellent patient interaction, and the ability to stay organized under pressure. Work hours include Saturday and Tuesday shifts with every other Sunday.

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and direct them to the proper department.
• Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity; ensure confidentiality of patients’ records.
• Register patients for scheduled admissions and outpatient procedures.
• Collect and document insurance information correctly.
• Collect co-pays when appropriate.
• Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, organized, and function well in stressful situations.

Schedule: Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm, Tuesday 4:00pm-8:00pm, Every other Sunday 7:00am-3:30pm
Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays beginning in 2027
Hourly Rate: $16.05-$18.43
*Compensation dependent on experience

This high customer-focused position will work directly with patients to register for care in our beautiful facility.
