POSITION SUMMARY
Camp Bob Waldorf, a program of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (JBBBSLA), is seeking a Registration and Outreach Associate to support camper recruitment, enrollment, family engagement, and year-round camp operations.
The Registration and Outreach Associate serves as a primary point of contact for new and returning camp families, helping families navigate the enrollment process from initial outreach through their camper’s arrival at camp. This position builds relationships with families and community partners, manages camper enrollment information and documentation, supports recruitment efforts, and helps ensure families have the information and resources necessary for a successful camp experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-focused, comfortable communicating with families in both Spanish and English, and excited to help expand access to meaningful camp experiences for youth throughout Greater Los Angeles.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Camper Recruitment & Community Outreach
- Collaborate with the camp team to develop and implement comprehensive camper recruitment and enrollment strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with schools, community organizations, social service agencies, and other community partners.
- Communicate regularly with partner organizations to share program information, identify prospective campers, and support successful enrollment.
- Build and sustain relationships with returning camp families by proactively sharing information about upcoming programs and opportunities.
- Participate in recruitment events, presentations, orientations, community events, and other outreach activities.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and warmly with prospective and returning families in both Spanish and English.
Camper Enrollment & Family Support
- Support families throughout the camper application, enrollment, and registration process.
- Follow up with families to collect required forms, medical documentation, payment information, and other enrollment materials.
- Respond to family questions and help families understand program requirements, timelines, expectations, and available resources.
- Process camper fees and related payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor camper applications and identify incomplete or flagged applications requiring additional follow-up.
- Coordinate with camp leadership and appropriate staff when additional review or support planning is necessary.
- Help ensure families feel welcomed, informed, and supported throughout their experience with Camp Bob Waldorf.
- Maintain accurate camper enrollment records and registration data.
- Monitor enrollment progress, available capacity, waitlists, cancellations, and outstanding registration requirements.
- Prepare and maintain enrollment reports for the camp leadership team and other JBBBSLA departments.
- Support cabin assignments by reviewing camper requests, age and grade groupings, program needs, and available cabin capacity.
- Enter, track, and maintain camper and staff evaluations and other program-related data.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive camper and family information.
- Identify enrollment trends, barriers, and opportunities and communicate relevant information to camp leadership.
- Work closely with other JBBBSLA programs, including Mentoring and College Access + Success, to coordinate camper recruitment, enrollment, special events, and participation across agency programs.
- Support communication and information sharing between Camp Bob Waldorf and other JBBBSLA departments.
- Help identify opportunities to connect campers and families with additional JBBBSLA programs and resources.
Staffing & Program Support
- Support registration and family communication during opening and closing days for summer camp sessions and weekend retreats.
- Provide operational and programmatic support during retreats, summer camp, family events, orientations, and other camp programs.
- Work collaboratively with the camp leadership team to respond to changing operational and program needs.
- Participate in camp events and programs that may occasionally occur during evenings or weekends.
Administrative & Office Support
- Support the day-to-day administrative functions of the Camp Bob Waldorf office.
- Manage the general camp phone line and voicemail and ensure inquiries are directed or responded to appropriately.
- Coordinate camper and family mail distribution during the summer season.
- Order and maintain office supplies as needed.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records related to camper registration and camp operations.
- Provide additional administrative support to the camp team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, families, and enrollment processes simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with families, community partners, colleagues, and young people.
- Ability to communicate with empathy, professionalism, patience, and cultural awareness.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong initiative and willingness to proactively identify and solve problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing responsibilities independently.
- Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, email, and other administrative technology .
- Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends to support camp programs, recruitment events, orientations, and family events.

Preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in administration, enrollment, registration, customer service, community outreach, education, youth development, social services, camps, or a related field .
- Experience working with youth-serving organizations and/or families from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience with registration, enrollment, CRM, or database management systems.
- Familiarity with residential camp, youth development, nonprofit, education, or community-based programs.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This position requires occasional evening and weekend work based on the camp and retreat calendar.
Camp Bob Waldorf/JBBBSLA offers a competitive benefits package, including generous paid vacation and sick leave, three additional personal days, paid federal holidays, and paid no-work Jewish holidays, averaging approximately 13–19 holidays per year.
