Job summary

Union Theological Seminary is seeking a Registrar to oversee student records, enrollment management, and scheduling. The role requires configuring Jenzabar SONIS, coordinating data flows from Slate, and ensuring FERPA compliance across all processes.

The Registrar will manage transcripts, degree completion activities, and coordination with the Academic Office. Strong data, communications, and detail-oriented skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of registrar’s office or related experience.
• Proficiency with Student Information Systems (Jenzabar SONIS) and Learning Management Systems (Moodle).
• Experience with data management, workflow/automation tools, and security/compliance protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student academic records, enrollment management, course registration, and transcripts.
• Configure SONIS for academic years, enrollment status, rosters, and registrations.
• Coordinate data transfer from Slate into SONIS and document management in OnBase.
• Enforce policies for enrollment, grading, transcripts, and FERPA compliance.
• Manage registration forms, deadlines, and cross-registration processes.
• Ensure accuracy of official transcripts and maintain FERPA protections.
