Specialty Surgery Center in Las Vegas, NV, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registrar for our ambulatory surgery center to ensure efficient patient admissions and accurate demographic and insurance data for proper coding, billing, and claims submission.

You will verify insurance, collect co-pays, manage charts, and greet patients and families in a professional manner as part of a collaborative ambulatory surgery team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting (ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or doctor’s office).
• BLS may be required per facility standard.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient admissions by reviewing information, completing forms, and copying insurance cards and photo IDs.
• Collect and document co-pays and deductibles; issue receipts.
• Perform routine clerical and administrative tasks.
• Prepare, collect, and deliver patient charts; pull prior medical records.
• Perform insurance verification.
• Manage the reception area and greet patients and family professionally.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a professional Registrar for our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for ensuring that patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner. You will be an asset to our team by providing accurate demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate coding, billing and claims submission.

What you will do

• You will be responsible for facilitating patient admissions to include: reviewing all information with your patient, completing appropriate forms, and copying insurance cards and photo identification
• Collect and document all collection actions for your patient's co-payment and deductibles at the time of service and issue appropriate payment receipts
• You will perform routine clerical and administrative functions
• Prepare, collect and deliver your patient charts and pull previous medical records
• You will perform insurance verification
• Manage the reception area and greet your patients and family members in a professional manner

Qualifications you will need

• Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors' office)
• BLS may be required as per facility standard

Specialty Surgery Center is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. We were founded in 2002. We are licensed by the state of Nevada and the federal Medicare programs. The center is AAAHC accredited. Our facility performs over 850 cases a month. We provide services in gastroenterology, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, podiatry and urology. The center performs cochlear implants and are looking to add total joint replacement in the future. We are a member of the HCA Healthcare Ambulatory Surgery Division
