Job summary

Specialty Surgery Center, part of the HCA Healthcare family, seeks a Registrar to support ambulatory surgery operations in Las Vegas. You will ensure patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and accurately by collecting demographic and insurance information for proper coding, billing and claims submission.

You will review patient information at check-in, collect payments where applicable, perform essential clerical tasks, assemble patient charts, verify insurance and warmly welcome

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting (ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or physician's office).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required per facility standard.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient admissions by reviewing information, completing forms, and copying insurance cards and IDs.
• Document co-pay and deductible collections at the time of service with receipts.
• Perform routine clerical and administrative functions.
• Prepare and deliver patient charts and pull prior medical records.
• Perform insurance verification.
• Manage the reception area and greet patients and families professionally.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a professional Registrar for our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for ensuring that patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner. You will be an asset to our team by providing accurate demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate coding, billing and claims submission.

What you will do:

• You will be responsible for facilitating patient admissions to include: reviewing all information with your patient, completing appropriate forms, and copying insurance cards and photo identification
• Collect and document all collection actions for your patient’s co-payment and deductibles at the time of service and issue appropriate payment receipts
• You will perform routine clerical and administrative functions
• Prepare, collect and deliver your patient charts and pull previous medical records
• You will perform insurance verification
• Manage the reception area and greet your patients and family members in a professional manner

Qualifications you will need:

• Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors office)
• BLS may be required as per facility standard

Our facility performs over 850 cases a month. We provide services in gastroenterology, ENT, generalsurgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, podiatry and urology.
