Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Northland Pioneer College seeks a collaborative, detail-orientedindividual who is committed to
the mission, vision, and values of the college to serve asRegistrar. The Registrar oversees all
student records, which includes admissions, registration,transcripts, and is responsible for the
overall operations and direction of the Records & Registration– Admissions Office, and the
database containing student records. The Registrar alsocollaborates with various areas of the
college, including the office of institutional effectiveness, insharing data for the completion of
mandatory reports. The Registrar also ensures that the officefollows state and federal
compliance regulations, reporting requirements, and collegeprocedures.

Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Plan, organize and manage the Records and Registration Officeand its related activities.
  2. Serve as the college’s Family Educational Rights and PrivacyAct (FERPA) compliance officer and be an educational resource tocollege personnel on ensuring FERPA compliance is being met, asoutlined in federal laws and regulations.
  3. The Registrar is responsible for the overall direction of theRecords and Registration – Admissions office. The Registrar’ssupervision is limited to the Assistant Registrar.
  4. Provide office oversight and reporting of the annual stateFull-Time Student Equivalents (FTSE) and FTSE Audit.
  5. Ensure that the Records and Registration office provides anynecessary support for the preparation of regular enrollmentupdates.
  6. Critically examine and continually improve Records andRegistration Office procedures to better serve students and reliantareas of the college.
  7. Ensure the Records and Registration staff are effectivelycollaborating with deans and the deans’ assistants in creating andtimely entering classes in the Fall, Spring, Summer classschedule.
  8. Oversee Residency Classifications for students.
  9. Oversee and approve or reject class substitution petitions, inconsultation with advisors and deans.
  10. Oversee the process for waivers to academic catalogrequirements, working closely with the stakeholders required toapprove or reject requests.
  11. Participate in college committees, data governance committee,including, but not limited to, Instructional Council.
  12. Oversee the international student admission and reportingprocess.
  13. Oversee WUE waivers eligibility, determination anddocumentation.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
