Job summary

United Education Institute in Dallas is seeking a Registrar to oversee the academic records office at the Dallas campus. You will manage student records, petitions, graduation processing, and related reporting while ensuring compliance with policy and privacy laws.

Responsibilities include supporting student registration, scheduling, and responding to inquiries; coordinating transfers and grade/petition processes; posting grades and maintaining accurate files.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement systems to maintain student academic records; administers storage, security, accuracy and preservation of academic files in accordance with company policy, accreditation standards and privacy laws.
  • Interpret academic rules and regulations; monitor academic progress, coordinate student status (such as suspension, academic awards, etc)
  • Manage grade and transcript processing; coordinates academic information for student graduation clearance
  • Evaluate transfer credit from outside institutions to determine transfer status
  • Facilitates IEC campus to campus transfer process
  • Compiles statistical information and prepares reports
  • Post daily attendance and externship hours
  • Post grades, test scores and final grades
  • Schedule and activate new students
  • Monitor and maintain seat availability for each program and session
  • Print progress reports and distribute to students monthly
  • Assist with the implementation of academic policy and procedures
  • Complies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies and procedures
  • Print and distribute reports; respond to inquiries concerning academic performance and resolve problems regarding the management of student records
  • A high school diploma and or a diploma from a nationally or regionally accredited school in business; or at least 1 - 3 years experience in an office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

In this position you will be responsible for the overall operations of the academic records office, including areas such as management of student records, petitions, graduation process, monitoring academic guidelines, degree audit reporting system and related matters. You will assist in the management of the student registration process and with student schedules. You will also evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues and problems, and ensure that appropriate action is taken.Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement systems to maintain student academic records; administers storage, security, accuracy and preservation of academic files in accordance with company policy, accreditation standards and privacy lawsInterpret academic rules and regulations; monitor academic progress, coordinate student status (such as suspension, academic awards, etc)Manage grade and transcript processing; coordinates academic information for student graduation clearanceEvaluate transfer credit from outside institutions to determine transfer statusFacilitates IEC campus to campus transfer processProvides special program certificationsCompiles statistical information and prepares reportsCoordinates student grade petition process, responds to inquiries concerning academic performance and resolves problems regarding the management of student recordsAssist with the implementation of academic policy and proceduresComplies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies and proceduresPost daily attendance and externship hoursPost grades, test scores and final gradesPerform any grade changes with appropriate documentationProcess all status changes (drops, graduates, LOA)Assists DOE with preparing the 5 day assessment formSchedule and activate new studentsSchedule term classMonitor and maintain seat availability for each program and sessionPrint progress reports and distribute to students monthlyOther duties as assigned.A high school diploma and or a diploma from a nationally or regionally accredited school in business; or at least 1 - 3 years experience in an office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.English will be the primary language used; bilingual abilities useful but not required.Ability to read and interpret documents such as business correspondence, operating, policy and procedural manuals.Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of students or staff.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.We offer an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
