Job summary

Grace Medical Center, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a registration specialist to accurately capture patient demographics and insurance data, verify coverage, and secure authorizations for timely billing. You will assist patients with admission forms and arrange arrival paperwork in a busy hospital setting.

The role supports routine and follow-up patient appointments, collects fees, and helps ensure smooth workflows across the admission process within Grace Medical Center’s community hospital

Job description

Performs a complete registration of patients. Interviews patients to obtain correct demographic and insurance information. Verifies insurance and obtains authorizations to insure proper billing and collections. Inputs a complete patient registration into a computerized registration system. Reviews completed registration with patient; assists patient with the signing of admission forms and other forms that may be required for department.

Notifies provider of patient's arrival. Prepares admission packet of forms and labels for provider.

Provides routine and follow-up appointments for patients.

Collects fees and copays in accordance with cash and collection policies.

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience

Pay Range

$18.19 to $27.29 Based On Experience
