Job summary

Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team in Windsor, CO. You will deliver exceptional anesthesia and perioperative care for surgical patients, supporting admissions, discharges, and client communications to ensure outstanding outcomes.

We seek CVT/RVT/LVT with at least 2 years of clinical experience, strong anesthesia skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) required.
  • Strong anesthesia skills and ability to monitor ASA III-V patients.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality anesthesia and perioperative care for surgical patients.
  • Assist doctors with patient admissions, discharges, and client communication.
  • Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during procedures and recovery.

Job description

Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists is looking for an experienced, full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Windsor, CO.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by delivering exceptional care to surgical patients from admission through recovery. Your life-changing work will range from utilizing advanced technical skills in anesthesia, perioperative patient care, and patient monitoring, to supporting patient admissions, discharges, and client communications that help ensure outstanding outcomes.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) Required
  • Superior/advanced technical skills
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Proven experience monitoring anesthesia for ASA III-V patients in a Specialty or Referral setting
  • Experience operating and monitoring mechanically ventilated patients during anesthetic procedures
  • Strong mathematical aptitude with accurate drug, CRI, and anesthetic calculations.
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $24 - $30/ hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
