Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to support our Surgery team at the Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. This 24-hour referral and critical care hospital delivers advanced care across Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care.

Full-time, 36–40 hours per week with occasional weekends. Compensation: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, plus up to $1,000 hiring bonus and a weekend differential of $1.50

Qualifications

• RVT credential and state license required (VTNE).
• VTNE and state license as a veterinary technician required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sensitivity and tact.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the surgeon.
• Anesthesia monitoring.
• Radiology.
• Blood draws.
• Administering medications.
• Performing CT studies.
• Client communication/patient discharge.

The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a 24-hour referral and critical care hospital located in Fort Wayne, IN. NIVES provides specialized care in Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Services. We serve the clients of NE Indiana, SE Michigan & SW Ohio.

We are looking to add a Registered Veterinary Technician to support our Surgery team!

Ideal candidates are friendly, detail oriented, and have strong multi-tasking skills. All candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with sensitivity and tact. We have an extensive training period. Anticipated Schedule:

• Full time = 36-40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional weekends will be needed

Compensation:

• $22.00-28.00 dependent on experience
• Up to $1000 hiring bonus!
• We offer weekend shift differential in the amount of $1.50/hour

Surgical RVT duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the surgeon
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Radiology
• Blood draws
• Administering medications
• Performing CT studies
• Client communication/patient discharge
• Other duties as assigned

Base Educational Requirements

• RVT - High School Diploma or GED, VTNE and veterinary technician state license required.
