Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health, via Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES), seeks a Veterinary Technician, Oncology, to join our Fort Wayne team. This full-time role offers 36-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a 1st shift.

You will work closely with board-certified oncologists to manage complex cases, assist with chemotherapy administration, imaging, and patient records. Licensing (LVT/CVT/RVT) is required; fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• Foundational veterinary knowledge including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Board-Certified Oncologists to manage complex cases and administer life-saving treatments.
• Understand the safety protocols for safe administration of chemotherapy.
• Set up chemotherapy procedures and perform chemotherapy administration.
• Assist in facilitation of imaging and sedation for minor medical procedures.
• Retrieve and prepare medical records in advance of patient visits.
• Acquire complete medical history and assist with treatment recommendations provided by Oncology team.
• Perform venipuncture for all blood work and carry out treatment orders.
• Complete estimates, basic record keeping, and update patient charges.
• Other duties as needed.

What You Bring:

• Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) isrequired

• Work with fellow team members tomaintaina productive,positiveand respectful environment. All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (12 hours), and lift a minimum oftwenty fivepounds.

• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) arerequiredfor the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
