Evans East Animal Hospital in Denver, CO is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our collaborative team. You will gather patient histories, perform lab work, monitor anesthesia, and assist with surgeries, while educating clients on pet care.

Qualifications

• Active RVT license or enrollment in an accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with empathy, warmth, and a sense of humor.
• Proactive mindset; no task is too small.
• Ability to lift/restrain pets up to 40 lbs and stay on your feet all day.
• Flexibility to work based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient history and vitals.
• Perform venipuncture and conduct lab tests (hematology, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, fecal analysis, cytology).
• Place IV catheters and monitor hospitalized/surgical patients.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia for surgery patients.
• Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures.
• Conduct and assist with diagnostic testing and radiography.
• Educate clients on pet care in person and over the phone.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 / hour (pay based on experience)

What You’ll Do:

• Gather patient history and vitals
• Perform venipuncture and conduct lab tests (hematology, serology, blood chemistry, urinalysis, fecal analysis, and skin/ear cytology)
• Place IV catheters and monitor hospitalized/surgical patients
• Administer and monitor anesthesia for surgery patients
• Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures
• Conduct and assist with diagnostic testing and radiography
• Educate clients on pet care both in-person and over the phone

What We’re Looking For:

• Active RVT license or enrollment in an accredited Veterinary Technology program
