Job summary

Destination Pet LLC in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to lead clinical care at our general practice. You’ll work to the top of your license with anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, nursing and triage in a supportive team.

Offer: $25–$29/hr, $1,000 sign-on, 3 weeks PTO, CE allowance, leadership ladder, health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, and mental health support.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Louisiana RVT state license.
• Ability to work to the top of license in a fast-paced clinic.
• Demonstrated leadership and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia and analgesia management, including monitoring.
• Dentistry procedures and charting under DVM direction.
• Diagnostic testing and in-house lab work.
• Nursing, triage, and patient monitoring.
• Lead tech appointments and mentor assistants.

Your Role – Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will be encouraged to work to the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.

You will primarily utilize your skills in:

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Dentistry: Full‑mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
