Job summary

Destination Pet is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician at Eldorado Animal Clinic in Santa Fe, NM. The RVT will work at the top of their license, provide anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and lead technician activities in a collaborative, community-focused practice.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform anesthesia, analgesia, monitoring, and recovery.
• Conduct dentistry procedures including radiography and periodontal therapy.
• Carry out diagnostics with in-house labs and imaging.
• Lead technician appointments, mentor assistants and externs.

Wage Range: $25.00 - $30.00 /hr.

Your Role - Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.

You will primarily utilize your skills in:

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.

Schedule: Full-time with flexible scheduling options (choose 4 ten-hour or 5 eight-hour shifts) and a predictable weekend rotation.
