MedVet is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team in Ohio. Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu 4p–1a with alternating weekends 4p–4a. You will support patient assessments, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring and in-house lab work.

You are a State Registered Veterinary Technician with emergency experience, strong math skills, and excellent communication. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a collaborative team.

Formación

• Must be a State Registered Veterinary Technician license holder.
• Emergency experience preferred.
• Strong math and drug calculation skills.
• Excellent communication with clients and team.

• Record and deliver organized rounds and discuss cases.
• Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize by assessment.
• Collaborate with patient care team on treatment plans and nursing care.
• Provide client education on home care, medications and general wellness.

Whatyou’lldo:

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discusscasesand gatheradditionalinformation as necessary
• Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
• Partner with patient care teamregardingtreatment plans, clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
• Provide client education including, but not limitedto:home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
• Assist DVM with patient assessment,treatmentand procedures
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesia and sedation procedures
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing

Who you are:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician licenserequired
• Prior veterinary experiencerequired,previousemergencyexperience desired
• Proficientincalculations(drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
