Ethos Veterinary Health's SAGE Concord facility in Concord, CA is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician for overnight ER coverage. The RVT will care for emergency, hospitalized, and critically ill patients alongside ER clinicians, with access to advanced diagnostics and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Triage and provide advanced nursing care for emergencies and hospitalized patients.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and in-house diagnostics.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and CRIs.
• Monitor critical patients and communicate changes promptly.
• Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and stabilizations.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia or sedation.

Up to $40.00/hour (DOE) + $5.50/hour overnight differential
Earn up to $45.50/hour during eligible overnight hours

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

• Triage, assess, and provide advanced nursing care for emergency and hospitalized patients.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and in-house diagnostics.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and continuous rate infusions (CRIs).
• Monitor critical patients and quickly recognize and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Assist Emergency veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient stabilization.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia or sedation.
• Maintain accurate medical records and provide thorough patient handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with Emergency veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Specialty teams throughout the hospital.

What You Bring

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required.
• Strong veterinary nursing skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration, drug calculations, patient restraint, and monitoring.
• Emergency, Critical Care, ICU, Specialty, or other clinical veterinary experience preferred.
• Anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring experience preferred.
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced Emergency environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
• Interest in continuing to develop your Emergency & Critical Care skills.

Compensation & Schedule

Base compensation up to $40.00/hour, based on experience.

Team members receive an additional $5.50/hour differential for eligible hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, bringing potential compensation to up to $45.50/hour during differential hours.

• Wednesday-Saturday
• 9:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Four 10-hour shifts
• Full-time, overnight
