Who we are
At Oxford Animal Hospital, we offer primary care for dogs and cats in Overland Park. We are open for same-day appointments Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM– 6:00 PM, and Saturdays 7:00 AM– 12:00 PM.

The Oxford Animal Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our patients. Your work will range from hands-on care, facilitating outpatient treatments, performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on medications and treatments.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
- Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

- 2 years veterinary experience
- Current Veterinary Technician licensure in Kansas preferred

The actual rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Projected compensation: $19 - $22/hr.
