Job summary

Geary Veterinary Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative team. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities to grow clinically in a fast-paced, full-service practice.

You will work with veterinarians on examinations, treatments, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, surgery support, and in-house diagnostics while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Active RVT license required.
• Strong clinical skills in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, dentistry, and technical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and support veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
• Perform anesthesia monitoring, including patient assessment and perioperative care.
• Place IV catheters, administer injections and medications, and perform other licensed technical procedures.
• Assist with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, equipment setup, and recovery.
• Perform and assist with dental procedures, including cleanings and radiographs.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate findings to the veterinary team.
• Perform radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and other in-house procedures with accurate medical records.

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and support veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
• Perform anesthesia monitoring, including patient assessment, anesthetic monitoring, and perioperative care
• Place IV catheters, administer injections and medications, and perform other licensed technical procedures
• Assist with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, equipment setup, surgical support, and recovery
• Perform and assist with dental procedures, including dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and dental charting
• Monitor hospitalized patients, assess changes in condition, and communicate findings to the veterinary team
• Perform and assist with radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and other in-house procedures while maintaining accurate medical records

About You

• Active RVT license required , with strong clinical skills in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, dentistry, and technical procedures
• Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
