Job summary

VetnCare in the San Francisco area is seeking an experienced RVT with 3+ years of veterinary experience to join a tight-knit team. This role covers surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, routine appointments, urgent care, and inpatient care, with a focus on high-quality patient service.

You will independently manage surgical and dental procedures, assist veterinarians with exams and diagnostics, monitor anesthesia and recovery, and maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years veterinary experience required.
• RVT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality small animal patient care across surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, general appointments, urgent care, and in-patient hospitalization.
• Independently run surgical and dental procedures from intubation through extubation, including prophylaxis, dental radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments, performing procedures such as blood draws, IV catheter placement, radiography, and lab testing.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery, administer medications and treatments, and deliver nursing care.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet health and treatment plans while maintaining medical records.
• Support team growth by mentoring technicians and assistants, contributing to a collaborative clinical environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality small animal patient care across surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, general appointments, urgent care, and in-patient hospitalization
